What affects your tyre disposal price
Every quote we give is built from four things. Knowing them helps you get an accurate price first time.
One condition applies to every quote: we cannot accept buried tyres or tyres mixed with general waste, and loads should be reasonably clean — contaminated loads cost more to process, so keeping tyres separate keeps your price down.
Tyre type & size
Car and van tyres are the least costly to process. HGV, bus and coach tyres cost more, and agricultural, tractor, OTR and earthmover tyres are priced individually — their size and weight make them far more demanding to handle.
Quantity
Volume matters. A stockpile of several hundred tyres is priced differently per tyre than a small load, because collection and processing become more efficient at scale.
One-off or scheduled
Regular scheduled collections for garages, MOT centres, tyre fitters and fleets are typically better value per tyre than one-off uplifts, because we can plan them into our routes.
Location & logistics
Distance from our sites in Motherwell, Aberdeen and Dundee affects the price, as does access — and you can reduce cost by delivering tyres to us directly.

Why the cheapest quote can be the most expensive
Your duty of care doesn’t end when the tyres leave your yard.
Unlicensed collectors sometimes undercut legitimate operators, then dump or illegally export the tyres. If that happens, the business that produced the waste can still be held liable.
Before accepting any quote, ask for the collector’s SEPA licence number and confirm you’ll receive a Waste Transfer Note. If they hesitate on either, walk away.

Because honest tyre disposal pricing depends on your circumstances. The type and size of tyre, the quantity, whether you need a one-off uplift or a scheduled contract, and your location all change the cost. Rather than publish a headline rate that doesn’t apply to most businesses, we quote each job properly — so you pay a fair price for what you actually need.

Do scheduled collections cost less than one-off uplifts?
Generally, yes. Regular scheduled collections for garages, MOT centres, tyre fitters and fleets allow us to plan routes efficiently, and that efficiency is reflected in the rate compared with a one-off uplift. If your business produces waste tyres continuously, ask us about a scheduled collection arrangement.
How are agricultural, tractor and OTR tyres priced?
Large tyres such as agricultural, tractor, OTR and earthmover tyres are priced individually, because their size and weight make them significantly more demanding to handle and process than car or van tyres. Send us the details — and photos if you can — and we’ll quote accurately before collection.
Is the cheapest tyre collection quote always the best choice?
Be careful with unusually cheap offers. Unlicensed collectors sometimes charge less and then dump or illegally export the tyres — and because you hold a legal duty of care, your business can be liable even after the tyres leave your site.
